Advocacy to Legislators for Zero Hunger in OKC

Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma
Now that the election is over, the real work begins. This is a critical time to introduce yourself to your legislators, get to know them, and let them know you’re interested in what happens both in Congress and at the State Capitol. A brief phone call, email, or social media message will encourage your newly elected officials or veteran incumbents to take action on issues important to you during the upcoming legislative session.

You can find election results here.
You can find contact information for your legislators here.

Some simple actions you can take now before the state legislative session starts in February:
  • Follow your legislators on social media
  • Send them a quick email or message introducing yourself as a constituent who is concerned about hunger in Oklahoma
  • Invite them to have coffee with you
  • Send a hand-written letter
Maximize the impact of the Oklahoma Food Banks by reaching out now and letting them know you care about the 1 in 6 Oklahomans and 1 in 4 children experiencing food insecurity.

Working together to end hunger in Oklahoma,
